I’m looking for dudes who would be willing to volunteer 1 Sunday night a month to 3rd Service Security.  

Your responsibilities are to show up at the start of first service in order to monitor the front door during the service (i.e. keep Packer fans out).  Immediately after the service you are responsible to circle the parking lot and help any people (that desire) to get to their cars safely.  About 9pm (30 mins after the service ends) you are responsible for ushering people out of the building, sweeping it, locking it up, and turning on the security system.  At times the arming of the security system will fall to someone else (a pastor, custodian, etc.) if they stay later than you.  Overall, it’s a 2.5 hour commitment once a month.  We’ll train you.

It might not seem like much, but this role is a vital one in carrying out the ministry of 3rd service.  We are reaching a new group of people with the Gospel which is EXCITING.  But, we need the support staff to see that this service is safe given our urban context.
